Have you heard? Imagine Van Gogh, a massive digital art exhibition at Vancouver Convention Centre opens this weekend!
The exhibition from Europe showcases over 200 of the famous Dutch artist’s paintings that are projected on eight-metre high walls. The original canvasses are then expanded, fragmented, and projected into different shapes to emphasize amazing exaggerations of Van Gogh’s work.
As Imagine Van Gogh explains, “celebrated for both his artistic practice and his persona, the Van Gogh produced an oeuvre that stands among the most recognizable art in the world. The distinctive style of his popular painting defined by thick, painterly brushstrokes and a bright color palette, the luminous landscapes, expressive portraits, and vibrant still lifes have come to represent the artist.”
With projections that blanket high walls and floors, visitors are transported on a journey to the heart of the artist’s work!
