Valentine's At Home - With The Kids!

Are you thinking of staying home this Valentine's Day? We thought we would provide some ideas on how to make this Valentine’s Day just as special as previous years, if not more!

Valentine's Day is usually a day where you hire a sitter and head out for a romantic evening with your partner. This year things are a little different, but that's no reason to not celebrate. Keep reading to learn some fun ways to get the kids involved this Valentine's Day and find a few delicious recipes that everyone can make together.

Arts and Crafts are always a winner when it comes to entertaining the kids, and we love these Valentine themed Craft projects.
Make these Valentine Heart Love Notes and stick them on everyone’s bedroom doors. It’s a great way to tell the kids what you love most about them, and they can do the same with you.

Another fun Arts and Crafts activity is these Custom Heart Shaped Puzzles. Use a picture of the family, or create ones for each of the kids. Get the full tutorial here.

Valentines Day is all about indulging the ones you love, and what better way to do that than with food! Try making some of these family-friendly Valentine’s Day Recipes this weekend:

This is a great recipe that the kids will have so much fun with, and you might even be able to convince them to eat some vegetables (masked in delicious cheese).

Another fun recipe is this Mac and Cheese Bar. You can prepare an assortment of different add-ins and allow the kids to customize their bowl for some extra fun. For the Adults, you can get fancy and try a Lobster Mac and Cheese.

We had to include this recipe, not only is it the perfect dessert for Valentine's but they're also the perfect size! Check out the recipe for these light and airy mini cheesecakes with graham cracker crust. Trust us - you'll thank us later.

Some other things to do this Valentine's Day that the family can enjoy are:

- Watch a movie together, kids’ choice!
- Play some board games (We suggest ordering Monopoly Deal from Amazon, it's such a fun and easy game that can be played by everyone in the family - also a great game for adults).
- Picnic at home (You can have a picnic and ignore the hassle of cooking & order in)
- Valentine's Day Scavenger Hunt
- Get the whole family to put on their fanciest clothes for dinner
- Enjoy some afternoon Mocktails (Adults are welcome to spike theirs!)

We hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day filled with lots of love, fun-filled activities, and delicious food.
