Lights To The Lodge Snowshoe

Looking for a family-friendly activity to get you into the Christmas spirit?

Cypress Mountain has re-opened their Lights to the Lodge Snowshoe experience.

offers a safe and easy one-kilometre snowshoe trek to the historic Hollyburn Lodge

along a self-guided trail through the enchanting Old Growth Forest." - Lights to the Lodge // Cypress Mountain

The trail is covered with LED fairy lights that help guide the way through the forest of old cedar and fir trees to the lodge.  At the lodge, you can refuel yourself with a hot chocolate and a snack before venturing back to the base through more LED lit forest.

Cypress Mountain has worked hard to create a safe, distanced environment to allow Vancouverites an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Christmas light display through the forest. In order to maintain a distanced flow of snowshoers, tickets must be pre-purchased online. Tickets are sold in time slots starting from 4 pm daily with the last start time at 8 pm.  The enchanting walk is a one-way loop to prevent overcrowding, don’t worry though, the walk back to the Cypress Mountain Lodge is equally as beautiful.

Make sure to book your ticket in advance, as the festive season is bringing high demand for this breathtaking experience. You can purchase your tickets

Don’t own a pair of snowshoes?  Cypress Mountain Lodge will set you up upon arrival with a pair, they have snowshoes for all sizes. We recommend you dress warm, and bring some waterproof layers to make the most of your night - and don’t forget to
bring your mask as they are required everywhere in the resort.

As always when visiting nordic areas, check the local weather network before departing. You can find information on Cypress Mountain Weather

Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture your magical evening. Have fun!
